Our Story

Built on Curiosity.

Born from Community.

Tinker Kids USA was created around a simple but powerful observation: children are naturally curious. They want to know how things work. They want to touch, test, take apart, and figure things out. But for many kids, the tools, equipment, workspace, and mentorship needed to explore those questions simply aren't available at home or at school.

We started with the belief that access to hands-on learning shouldn't depend on a family's income, neighborhood, or background. Every child deserves the chance to pick up a real tool, examine a real machine, and walk away understanding something new about the world around them and about their own ability to figure things out.

What began as a conversation about community need has grown into a mission-driven effort to bring free, safe, and engaging hands-on workshops to children and families right where they are in their communities, through their organizations, and at no cost to their families.

Our Mission

"

Our mission is to give every child the opportunity to explore, create, and understand how the world works through free, safe, and engaging hands-on learning experiences.

Our Vision

Raising a Generation of Builders, Inventors, and Problem-Solvers

We envision a future where every child regardless of their zip code, background, or family resources has the opportunity to develop real skills, real confidence, and a real sense of possibility. A future where young people grow up knowing they can figure things out, build, fix, and create the world around them.

Through community-supported learning, Tinker Kids USA is working toward a world filled with skilled tradespeople, curious engineers, inventive builders, and confident problem-solvers who got their start by simply being given the chance to tinker.

What Makes Us Different

Seven Reasons Tinker Kids USA Stands Apart

We're not a traditional classroom. We're not a daycare activity or a toy kit. Tinker Kids USA is a real, hands-on learning environment built on community support, genuine curiosity, and a belief that every child deserves access to tools and practical learning.

Real Tools. Real Materials.

Children work with actual hand tools and everyday objects not plastic replicas or simplified simulations. The learning is genuine because the materials are genuine.

Always Free for Families.

Every workshop is offered at no cost to participating children and their families. Access to hands-on learning should never be a financial decision.

Shield icon

Safe, Supervised Exploration.

Every activity is supervised by experienced facilitators, age-appropriate, and introduced with clear safety instructions. Curiosity and safety go hand in hand here.

Group icon

Programs for Every Organization.

From schools and libraries to churches, homeschool groups, and corporate family events Tinker Kids USA builds programs that fit the community it's serving.

Handshake icon

Community-Supported Learning.

Our workshops exist because of generous community partners, donors, and volunteers who believe in what curiosity can build.

Star icon

Encouragement Without Pressure.

There are no grades, no tests, and no wrong answers. Children explore at their own pace in an environment built for discovery, not performance.

Learning Through Play and Curiosity.

The best learning happens when children are genuinely engaged. Every workshop is designed to spark that engagement through hands-on experimentation and open-ended exploration.
